An Islamic history and geography guessing game in 360°
GeoSiyer is a history and geography game where you guess the place and year of a historical scene. Look around a 360-degree reconstruction, mark a location on the map and choose a year. After the reveal, read the story and its sources.
How do you play?
- Look for clues in the buildings and landscape of a 360-degree scene.
- Place a pin on the map and guess the year.
- Compare your guess with the historical place and date.
- Read the explanation and its sources.
For people who enjoy history and map games
Explore the Sirah (Seerah), caliphates, Al-Andalus and Ottoman history through places and dates. Try the Daily Challenge or open a multiplayer room to guess the same scenes with friends.
Historical reconstructions and sources
The scenes are historical reconstructions, not photographs taken at the time of the events. Explanations and source notes provide context without presenting uncertainty as established fact. The public places library can also be read without playing a game.
